Hi all,
Please forgive me as I have no experience in CNC machining. (but I do some manual machining at home) I'm an electronics technician that they're getting to take a look at this mill in our machine shop.
Its a Cincinnati 750 with Acramatic 850 controller.
They were running a program that they have successfully used many times before, when it seemingly was randomly crashing at times. First time the Y took off into the vise. Then later the Z dropped into the vise. Last thing that happened was the X (i think) started jogging on its own when the program wasn't even running, which is sort of alarming.
I wasn't sure where to start to I had them run some test programs, which ran flawlessly for a full 8 hour shift.
Anyone have an idea what could be causing this?
