Boss picked up a Toshiba Horizontal with a Tosnuc888 control and I'm the lucky one that gets to attempt to make magic happen.
Problem 1 - I have to mill a slot 5" inside a tube with an Angled head attachment.
I made a slot with square ends rather than radiused ends. After banging my head for an hour I realized it was interpolating X and Y axis rather than X and Z.
No problem says I - just add in a G18.
The 1st attempt it alarmed out with an illegal G code in cutter comp. mode.
So I put the G18 near the start of the cycle and now my Z feels compelled to make a move about 8" deeper into the part.
Think its time to go for a beer unless somebody has an option to try.
