We are looking to purchase a new CNC Lathe w/ live tooling and sub-spindle. Need some advice. We have looked at: Mori, Okuma, Mazak, Doosan and Haas. The pricing vary significantly from top to bottom. Currently with have few T-42s with Fanuc controls. We are a manufacturer of our own proprietary products and do not run the machines hard (1 shift). We cut a lot of different materials, but mostly aluminum with some sst and carbon steel. We are looking for atleast 3" capacity. We are out of the Philadelphia area. Any advice? Experience? Also - any advice on the local service groups for these companies?
