Which machine?

Hi all, im moving house shortly and finally have myself a garage to work from. Ive wanted to get myself another mill since i stopped renting out a unit about 7 years ago but never had the space. About a year ago i started to look into desktop mills but never really bothered to make one, i later found an article somewhere from someone who had converted the mill i used to have, a bridgeport interact 2 to run on mach 3 to control all axes. So my plan when i had a garage was to do that, since then ive decided if im going to do it i may as well go for the best option i can rather than just get something for the sake of getting a mill, problem is i dont know what else is out there really, the bridgeport mill is the only cnc one other than some big mazaks that ive used.

Ideally i want 4 axes, multiple tool holder/carousel, with a reasonably fast spindle. The tormachs look decent but getting one in or to the uk seems like a chore. The single phase really appealed too as it will run from my house electric

What would you guys recommend? Convert an old cnc to updated controls? Buy a second hand good cnc? Etc etc.. My budget will be around £4500 but that will have to cover shipping etc too

James
