I looked up a chuck, and the website described it fairly well.
All the dimensions were there.
This line described what ( I assumed) was included:
"Standard Equipment: Chuck assembled with adapter, chuck mounting bolts, soft top jaws, T-nuts and jaw mounting bolts with wrench, draw nut wrench."
When it arrived, the original factory sealed box contained exactly everything just listed as "standard equipment"
There was a Chuck, it was assembled to an adapter, there were chuck mounting bolts, soft top jaws, T-nuts and and mounting bolts, wrenches, and draw nut wrench..
It looks like this came together, and all is well.
When I called the distributor, I had already looked at the website.
The "Standard Equipment" looked like just what I needed.
I got a quote for the chuck, didn't ask about anything else, didn't think I needed anything else..
The world is great...
Imagine my surprise when I got the invoice, and there was an additional $451.00 for the adapter.
The chuck was charged what I was quoted over the phone..... PLUS the adapter.
It was in the original factory sealed box, mounted to the chuck. Just like the website described it.
It was listed as "Standard Equipment" on the website that I went to and ordered from..
I called the sales guy, and he got so patronizing I hung up.
I feel I should dispute this, I think this is deceptive.
Any (helpful) thoughts ?
