1979 5T control- The display doesn't show the code as the machine is running. I send code from a PC to the BTR mounted in the machine and run the lathe in tape mode.
Is there any way to make this control a bit easier/safer to use? As in some way to see the code as the lathe is running? Any way to set a PC up integrated at the control so it can send the code straight in and I can watch what's coming up? Possibly edit at the machine?
I feel like I have to take cautious to a whole new level with this control and it still pulls some difficult to explain crap sometimes. Everything's right on the PC, but a dozen parts in, out of nowhere, a G50 value goes 6" into the part from where it's supposed to be. Hard to figure out what happened most of the time since there's nothing to show what code the control actually saw.
