Currently in the process of rebuilding the spindle on our Hardinge cobra 42 turning center. I have the spindle housing out, and I'm about to give myself a hernia removing the spindle nut. I've rebuilt dozens of Hydromat spindles, but none of those ever fought me this much. This nut will absolutely not budge. Is there a trick I'm unaware of? I wanna get some info before I go any further and booger something up.
