Hi,
Today our 1985ish Cincinnati 5VC-750 with original (acramatic 900?) control encountered a "feed limit" error (I think it's code number 0356). It happened after we turned off and restarted the machine after a "Y Servo fail" error, which occurred when a bunch of chips prevented the slides from aligning (ie, machine home zero operation after estop). So now, when we start the machine there is a "feed limit" error, and the hydraulic pump will not start and the axes will not move or home.
As far as I can tell, the z and x axes are beyond the "home" position (which is normal in the slide aligning operation) and are activating some limit switches. The Y axis is not touching the limit switch.
The problem is that the machine will not allow any axis movement, so I can't move it away from the switches, or the software limit it is detecting, or whatever is causing the feed limit error.
This seems like it would be a common, simple, easy problem (Fanuc/BOS/Dynapath = hold the button and jog away from the switch), but we can't seem to figure it out for this machine. It has to have also happened to someone else.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
