Shear Hog - Recommended Machining Parameters?

I recently bought a 1.25diam 2fl AB Tools Shear Hog with 1" shank, but I haven't used it yet. I'm going to be roughing some 6061 this week on our 15hp vmc. Motor label says power from 1500-4500rpm is 17hp, and from 4500-8000(max) it's 10hp. So I suppose there is a higher MRR potential below 4500rpm, using a high chipload/doc to compensate. tool extension from holder will be about 2.6". WOC will be ranging from full slot to about 0.8".

Care to share any recommended ipt, DOC, etc, info?

I see in the AB Tools catalog that they ran one version of the shear hog at 0.057ipt... Can the insert screws really hold up to that kind of force in a production run?
