Hi all, I've got a problem that needs immediate help. I was installing a CNC retrofit (ProtoTRAK EMX) on an import bed mill and very shortly after starting it up, I grabbed the pendant, pushed some buttons and the table, in X, made a rapid jog to the left pinning my nuts between the table and a fixed bench. It is horribly painful, but barely tolerable. Here's the dilemma. The machine is locked in rapid jog and I want to move the table AWAY from me. One friend said try X+, another said to try X-, but I'd really like to get it right on the first try, due to the fact that the table looks like it has a couple inches of travel left. I am typing this from the left of the machine as standing from the front and need the table to move right. A friend with a Mazak said he always taps the buttons quickly like a chicken peck, to see which way the table will go, but I prefer getting it right on my very first attempt. One other thing, the electrician said he may have the phase backwards, whatever that means. I probably should have called 911, but I thought I'd post it here first for your advice.
