I have a bench top Machine with R8 collets, and I have been "trying" to use an Air Turbine Spindle from Air Turbine Tools. A 625JS. It's a great tool when it works, but I've had it for about 9 months, and a lot of that time it has been back to them for repairs. I have an IR 80 gallon compressor with a 7.5 hp motor. When the tool is working right, the compressor has no problem keeping up with the tool. It cycles on and off about every three minutes. But the tool will work okay for a while and then it just starts sucking all the air out of the compressor and the compressor can't keep up. It's like the governor or O-rings come loose in the tool, and it won't hold pressure like it should. Has anyone else had this kind of experience with one of their tools? Like I say, it's a great tool for small detail work in molds, but it just doesn't seem to hold together well.
