Well as stated above, Im having trouble with our Mazak. It has been throwing a alarm 21, power unit drive malfunction. There are 5 possible reason for this alarm, but the machine is not giving me the reason, Just a number 21 alarm. The alarm is always on the first process "facing" when the tool is at its starting point just outside the o.d of the part...
Im running a max rpm of 2000, and a max ipm of .010,
#1 the speed of the spindle/motor has exceeded the require values
#2 errors of ipm have occurred in non-controlled axes with the rotary switch remaining set to "F".
#3 Excessive current has flown from the plus side of the dc bus. ground fault or excessive current into the servo amp circuit over a fixed time.
#4 motor detector has exceeded their respective max permissible speed
#5 ipm inverter is abnormal.
Anybody have suggestions on trying to diagnose these?
