New (used) machine arrived. It has an Fanuc 0iMD control. I was playing around with it and in the middle of Zero Return. It pops up with 'EMG' blinking on the screen. This is not an alarm but some sort of state the control is now in. It will not let me do anything except page around the menus.
I've tried shutting the whole thing down and restarting but that had no affect at all.
I went to the [Message] key
Paged over a couple times [->]
and Pressed [Guide] which brings up 'Trouble Diag Guid' screen
This screen initially noted that the 'X' axis was latched (?)
It had some soft key that seemed to indicate clearing this which I pressed. Now it is blinking 'Sampling' and seems to do nothing.
I tried shutting down and restarting from this point and when I return to this screen it's still sampling.
I'm not sure what this is doing or how to go about trying to correct this. The Fanuc manual is a bit vague. Anyone had to deal with this?
