I am machining a part that is quit tall and not in a rigid setup. I need to mill 1" NPT thread in the top and currntly have a thread mill from LakeShore Carbide. I have had great success with their tools but this setup is really chattering. I am considering a single tooth with 6 flutes. Do these really reduce cutting pressure as mush as they would appear to?
It just seems as though it is going to be very sloooooow!
Material is 12L14, could I get 40 holes from one cutter?
