Can you guys explain to me how much adding scales to a new VMC affects the accuracy? I understand there's a lot more factors that affect accuracy, but based on the exact same machine and cutting conditions:
-Should I expect accuracy and repeatability equivalent to the resolution of the scales? Or somewhere in between the machines original accuracy and the resolution of the scales?
-Do scales improve circularity much or is circularity affected more by the mechanical dynamics (not sure if thats what to call it) of the machine?
-If the resolution of the controller is limited to .00001" but the scales have a .01 micron resolution does the controller process to that accuracy, or just round up to its max resolution limit?
Thank you
