I got a new part to make, but i am confused as to which process is more suitable.
I know that it can be made be gear hobbing, but i dont want to purchase a new hobbing machine just for that.
i know that rotary broaching can be done on lathe but i have never used it.
Has anyone done broaching in your lathes. can you please tell me if its possible to make this gear using broaching. is there any broaching guide that you guys can share??
sorry all the dimensions are in mm. the effective length of the gear is only 9mm.
i got to make about 50000 pieces of those in a month.
