Can i use my Doosan DNM500 as a CMM

First let me say this is a pretty cool site. I Just bought a Doosan DNM500 and it came with Renishaw OMI-2T interface, Now I have the option to upgrade to The Inspection Probe. I don't have a CMM. My question is could I get the Probe and use my Doosan as a CMM. I don’t make parts that require a CMM but one of my buyers would like me to have one. If anyone has this probe or one like it can you tell me how it works, and tell meif you like it. Also I could buy the tool height setter. I never used one does it save time, or will my guys continue to do it the way they been doing it with a .003 pcs of paper.
