My 1993 Kitamura MyCenter 3X got stuck during a M0 pause. It has a YASNAC i80M controller.
I had been making some parts that require the program to return to the home position and stop while I take the part out of the vise and flip it over. I then hit Cycle Start and the program resumes until it gets to the end. However, on the final part, I hit Cycle Start and nothing happened. The spindle won't turn, and the table won't move.
1) I checked the way-oiler reservoir (on the right side of the machine) and it was a bit low. After I topped it off, I tried again but no dice.
2) I checked the Spindle Oiler on the left side of the machine and, after holding down the white button, got a green light. The oil is circulating in the bubbler dome on the right side of the head and the level indicator is in the middle.
3) The magazine will rotate manually with the switch on the left side of the machine, but I can't do a tool change. I can CLAMP/UN-CLAMP manually.
4) I restarted the machine and the zero indicators for XYZ went out. Then, I held the 2NDLS momentary switch and hit CANCEL and RESET on the controller with the function switch set on HANDLE X10. I cranked the handle to try and move the table and head off the zero position, but no dice.
5) There are no alarms showing on the controller.
6) I opened the electronics cabinet and can see green lights on the three servo's. I don't see any cicuit breaker that tripped.I can't smell any smoke.
7) I cleared the program and tried to use MDI to start the spindle but no dice.
8) I used the RETURN TO ZER0 setting on the function switch to see if anything moves, but no dice.
9) The temperature here in Northern California is in the low 60's, the machine has not cold-soaked.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
