Long story short, my Lancer 2000 ERD with Kollmorgan drives is mak'in me nutz.
When trying to interpolate a circle it was way off (~0.125), spoke to the folks at mag and they had me adjusting balance pots and closed loop values to try and get my gains down to about 2.0 - 1.9 on all axis and directions. Needless to say this a laborious process and doesn't seem all that efficient.
Is there a way to place a scope or some other measurement device on the system so it is not so hit and miss.
Second is there a book on servos, drives and encoders available so I know little about what I am aiming for; and not following directions blindly. I have a pretty good knowledge of electrical engineering so the complexity is a non issue.
Please let me know if I left out any pertinent info.
Thanks for your help.
