Running this 6" x 1.875" 6061 slug in a 8" kitty chuck at 250 PSI. The step in the jaws is .2" deep so we can flip the part to avoid witness marks on the OD of the part due to a large chamfer on the back side. Using a 1.75" drill then boring the center out to 2.75" at 2500SFM, .020IPR and .1" R depth of cut. Spindle is clamped at 3,000 RPM. Personally, the part that has me a little nervous is the off center cutting of the boring bar that could possibly pull the part out of the jaws.
