Holding this part without distorting it?

We have 50 parts to make on a CNC lathe, it's a simple welded fabrication consisting of 10" pipe and a flange welded together, material is 304 stainless, the problem we are having is holding it so it does not distort more than .002 on the face which has 2 o-ring grooves, it goes in a high pressure system so the customer wants it pretty flat. I've tried installing a spider inside the pipe with set screw grippers and then holding on the outside of the pipe with soft jaws holding only at the contact point of the gripper screws but because the pipe is not flat and round I still get too much distortion ".004 to .006 T.I.R." on the flange end, any other suggestions on holding this part that is not real time consuming? I added a rough drawing of what I'm doing.
As a last resort I am going to rough them in, finish the large flange O.D. and then build some pie type jaws to reach out and lightly grip the round flange O.D. and then finish the criticals.
