Doosan VMC alternatives?

Looking to buy a new VMC with a 50" X axis capability and so far the Doosan DNM II 650 is coming out ahead BUT before I write the cheque I want to make sure I've considered the alternatives.

First up I should say that I'm based in the UK so that does affect price and availability. So far I've looked at the Doosan, Dugard (British re-badged Taiwanese machine with a good reputation over here), HAAS & Hurco. Mazak didn't get back to me and over here Mori/Makino & DMG are TWICE the price of the Doosan.

The specs (with a few options) on the Doosan are

50" X
26" Y
26" Z
Fanuc 0iM control with data server and improved looked ahead - not my first choice but Heidenhain is 20k more and we program everything off machine
12k spindle w/ chiller
30 tool ATC
BT40 big plus
Renishaw wireless probe and tool setter
Fourth axis with Nikken 260 rotary + Nikken TAT tailstock

Interestingly both HAAS (VF4SS) and Dugard are more expensive once you include all the necessary options to bring them up to the Doosan spec and the Hurco, whilst very nice, doesn't seem to be quite as Robust - and is more expensive.

I looked at the Okuma but the Genos series isn't large enough and again is significantly more expensive.

What have I missed, are there other options that are eluding me right now?
