Vacuum table seal material?

Getting my vacuum table built soon, and placing an order to mcmaster carr so I was looking for some advise as to what to get. I was going to use o-ring cord but did some research (which I cannot seem to find now) and that was frowned upon. Any part numbers you guys can share?
