I've been stuck on this for a little while now. I basically have an o-ring groove wrapped around a large 45 deg. chamfer. I need to control my entry/exit point to match the model. I have had no training on the 5-axis palette but I have used it once or twice for basic swarf machining.
The part center line is along the y-axis at A = 0 Deg
The entry point is at A = 45 Deg, B = 90 Deg
I want to rotate the A-axis to 45 deg, lead the tool along the Y-axis to location and then rotate B-axis 360 deg, and exit at the same location as I started.
I need to slot it out first with the 1/16 EM, come behind that and slot it with the Dovetail cutter, and then take one finish pass per sidewall.
I think I can figure out the actual cutting process with the Projection 5-axis module but I can't figure out how to specify the entry/exit point.
