Hardinge SuperSlant Main Turret Up alarm (after unsafe index)

Hardinge slant bed with GN6TC control. This is a twin turret lathe with live tooling on the top turret. I was testing a program and screwed up a tool change and a round tool holder in the top turret came around and whacked the spindle housing.

The machine e-stopped and when I went to home it there was a "main turret up" alarm.

Turret was trying to clamp but it was not on an index point and it couldn't pull down. I powered it down, let the hydraulic pressure subside a bit and I was able to tap it a couple degrees and then it sucked down a bit. When I powered it back up the turret appeared to pull down to its proper location but I still have a MAIN TURRET UP alarm.

Any suggestions as to what is going on and/or what to do about it?

Until I clear the alarm the turret won't home and until the turret homes the machine is essentially locked up. I can't even move the cursor around in edit mode.

Thanks

Todd
