Fanuc 21iM Dead X-Y-Z Servo Battery, Reload Sys Params, X & Z Axis are wrong

Hi Folks:

Romi D760 Mill was working great. It was turned off for a couple of weeks. Upon startup, I received a Servo "Dead Battery Error". Upon replacing the battery, I reloaded the working backup of Parameters into the Fanuc. Now when attempting to Home the machine, it generates an Error #500 (axis overtravel) in the Z axis. Upon further examination, the X axis can only be manually moved (via Fanuc Panel. . . not with a crowbar :)) about an inch or two either direction before it generates the #500 error. The Y axis appears to have full motion until it's physical limit switches are hit, but given the other 2 axis issues, there's reason for doubt. Everything else appears fine, except if an M6 is run, the machine obviously sets the Z axis in the wrong place for the tool-changer.

How do I properly reset these axes and also ensure Z tool change height is exactly right? No absolute position coders are used. The parameters indicate that the "Dog" method should be used? I thought that saving and restoring parameters (these were recent backups - to my knowledge no parameters were changed and even if somehow they were, it is certain that the machine properly homed and registered all axis ranges when that Parameter Backup was made).

Thanks!
