I was just curious. Any of you turn this on? It is just three parameters that need to be adjusted.
I just set a 200% rigid tapping extraction override on a Fanuc 31i (Mill). I am tapping a series of M24 holes at 600 rpm. Makes a significant difference on time having a 200% RPM boost on the feed out. Granted my spindle doesn't have a very fast accel setting, but it gets up to speed in about 30mm of stroke, considering a few holes are 90mm deep, it makes a big difference. The tap doesn't squeel any more than it did on exit with the normal extraction.

I was hesitant to turn it on, but was feeling frisky today, and didn't mind gouging out a tap, and welding up a hole if it didn't work right. Turns out, it works like a charm, no rework required for me...
I would suggest cutting some air at slower speeds before running this on a part. Helps relax the pucker factor.
