I've been operating a machine for over a year now. I left one shop and went to the one that I'm at now. I hate just being a push button operator and want to learn more about programming, touch setting the part, shortcuts, anything at all. I know alot of the basics such as offsets, reading the part diagram, tolerances and so forth. I run an Okuma Genos L400. I mostly do turn, bore, and thread with end ring thrown in here and there. Mainly production level oil part manufacturing. And tips or advice or even questions are welcome.
