Our shop is considering a new VMC so while surfing I find these (bold it seems) statements on the Mazak service site:
We guarantee a phone response to any technical question within 1 hour through our 24-hour technical phone support system. Additionally, a Mazak service engineer will respond to your location within 24 hours under normal circumstances.
Is Mazak support really this good for the average job shop? Are they really this responsive? Should I buy a Mazak over others because I can count on this level of support?
It will be a real plus for buying a Mazak if all this is so. Typically we're about 1 week from service call to a tech showing up with other brands, and usually have answers to phone calls in about a day. I think this is pretty good considering.
