My Pratt & Whitney Fanuc Tape Drill Mate Jr. with OM Mate controller is from 1988.
It has been sitting idle for a few years and I'm having a problem powering it up. Can anyone tell me what this message means or how to set/reset it?
"OPERATOR MESSAGE - NO.2004 TURRET ADJUST SWITCH ON".
Looking it up in the alarm code area of my manual it states:
"TOOL CHANGE AREA DETECTING SWITCH IS RESET".
I recently spent big bucks to have the controller/servo amplifier supposedly repaired because I was (and still am) getting a red "HC not ready" light on the unit as well as ALARM no.s 414, 424, 434 on my alarm message screen. The diagnostics for these X/Y/Z servo alarms state there is improper voltage.
I've owned this machine since new - never really had any major problems - but a few years back I was forced to push the power on and off button several times before I could get it to fire up and stay on. A fairly audible "CLANK or KNOCK" sound occurs from within the control cabinet about 3-5 seconds after pushing the power on button on the operator's panel.
I appreciate any and all input on this matter.
Thanks
