Sequential serial number programming....help with macro, maybe?

I have no experience with macro's, so I am hoping someone can help me out here - I have numerous different parts that need sequential serial numbers. I made the first 10 the hard way - engraving everything except the serial number.......then went back and ran a serial number program for each part - 10 parts, 10 programs.

Now I have 750 or so total parts left to do, with them being broken down into anywhere from 25-100 parts per batch, with each batch having different sequential serial numbers. Hope that makes sense.

The first batch of 25 is:

JM0001 thru JM0025

Is a macro the way to go on this?
