I recently purchased a 2004 Yang SV1000 (ser# Z90008), Fanuc control. This was the same machine as the Hardinge of the time period. It was warehoused since 2004 and had never been in production. It has the swingarm tool changer.
The issue is that the machine will periodically lose track of its tool positions and pick up the wrong tool. Then mayhem ensues. I have replaced both input output boards and also the main board. Machine will run for a while (days) then loses its mind. Picks up wrong tool, or even loses xyz zero location.
I would like to try to find somebody with a working machine, and get a copy of their S ram in the hopes that will solve the problem. Any and all suggestions are most welcomed.
Thanks,
Mike
