Hey guys
So I am in the final stretch of my Engineering degree and am finally doing my Senior project. Long story short I am doing a research paper on what modifications need to be made to an older version of a Haas TM1 (I say older because it did not come with an enclosed area around the tooling; i saw another one like it that was a 2002 model) that has a coolant system attached to it that just shoots out 30 gal/min but with very little pressure. After another company was kind enough to donate another coolant system to the school that does 1000 Psi at 3 gal/min (it was originally designed for medical prosthetic drilling) the professor wants to know if it can be attached to the TM1.
I know the hoses will need to be changed out because they will not hold up for 1000 psi along with some of the attachments and clips. What I am not sure on is what kind of pump I am going to need. I know I am going to need a holding tank of about 10 gal but have no idea what pump I should recommend.
Anyone able to push me in the right direction?
